Infinities: The Chaos Paradox is a single-player sci-fi+fantasy roleplaying game that will send you across space and time to restore order to an endangered universe. CP serves as a precursor to Vatal’s prospective MMO, Infinities: The Continuum Order, both in story and gameplay. Whether it’s the lore, theme, subject matter, or our approach to game mechanics, we want you to fall in love with the world of Infinities. Characters
In CP, you will have access to a small, but diverse cast of characters who are thrust into the center of a world-breaking crisis. Your characters are split into two versions of themselves, each with different bodies, goals, and powers. It will be up to you to solve the paradox of your own existence and prevent a machine god from deleting reality itself. While you’re at it, you will find yourself at the epicenter of pivotal events in history with an opportunity to shape the future.
Gameplay
Because CP is a prequel to The Continuum Order, many signature Infinities gameplay elements will be present, such as the Tide Meter, Gambits, Surgical Health, and more. You’ll be encouraged to explore the world for secret items and insightful information that will assist with your objectives. Once the time for battle comes, your party will enter an instanced area with free-motion combat, character switching, and interactive objects to exploit. With a name like Infinities, we probably shouldn’t have to tell you that there is a high level of replayability built in to the game.
Art
The 2D/3D art style for Chaos Paradox will be familiar to fans of games like Bastion, utilizing detailed 2D sprites on prerendered backgrounds. The futuristic world of Xilsen and the vibrant, living world of Ob’dija will be presented in ways meant to inspire immersion and enjoyment. Combat effects will cover the gamut of mundane weapons to epic magic to unreal technology, meaning an eyeful for you as a player.
